Goin' to the Chapel.....from August.

In August I had the pleasure of photographing (with a hottie 2nd shooter) Bill and Kate's wedding.  The bride was stunning and as sweet as can be, and the groom hated the idea of being the center of attention for photos, but he was a trooper and sweated/smiled through a couple hundred of them.  Aren't they the cutest couple?

My favorite wedding photos (basically ANY photos) are always the candid ones that nobody could have planned.  I happened to catch the eye of this groomsman's girlfriend right before she stuffed a cupcake into his face.  He was a good sport and chased his mom (the bride) down for a frostingy kiss.  Those are the memories I love.

And the flowergirl became our third assistant, carrying the bouquet around protectively, so as not to let any of the blooms get bruised.  And she had no problem hamming it up for us a bit!

This is my favorite shot of the whole wedding.  Right before everyone walked down the isle, Kate was having a final word with her son, Chris, and you can just see the excitement in Bill's eyes to head on down that isle and get married!  Such a tender and sweet couple of seconds.

Not only can my hottie assistant handle a camera, he can also climb trees.....The bride's big request was a photo of everyone in attendance.  Since it was a small wedding, everyone present was a dear friend of family member, so they wanted to capture everyone.  Cue hottie assistant in tree.  See why I married that boy???

I don't often take on wedding jobs because honestly they are just plain exhausting and really demanding logistically.  My two little ones at home are my top priorities right now, so weddings don't typically work well with that.  However, when we were driving away from this ceremony (in pouring rain!) Matt and I looked at each other and said, "That was fun!"  I love sessions like that.  :)
